La patología de las fibras elásticas tiene características únicas en la piel. A veces es parte de un proceso complejo que afecta otras estructuras celulares y extracelulares. En ocasión, es un proceso altamente selectivo que involucra exclusivamente el aparato fibrilar elástico.
